Hi. I'm Becky, and I love to eat.

Chocolate Run Cookies

Chocolate Run Cookies

The basic, chocolate peanut butter banana run cookie! This square is held together and sweetened naturally with banana, and contains just what you need to keep your electrolytes in check during long training sessions.

These cookies can be baked as squares (as pictured) or can be rolled into cookies, bars, balls, or whatever format you'd like! Give them a try, and add whatever you have in the dry good cupboard to make them your own (suggested to add nuts, shredded coconut or dried fruit).

Chocolate Run Cookies

  • 4 bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup raw cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 1/2 cups rolled quick oats
  • *optional - 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Pre-heat oven to 350*.

In a large mixing bowl, mash 4 very ripe bananas. Mix in 1/2 cup of natural peanut butter and salt until fully combined. Mix in quick oats and cocoa powder until fully combined. In a lined 8"x8" baking pan, press cookie dough down evenly. Sprinkle with chocolate chips, if desired. If you want to keep this recipe completely clean, skip the chips, or sub them out for carob chips.

Bake for 12 minutes - don't over bake! Let cool fully in pan. Transfer to fridge for 1 hour; slice when fully chilled. Store in the fridge for up to one week in a sealed container.
